WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Director of Training is an innovative, strategic leader in Primrose’s Franchise Support team reporting to the Vice President, Learning & Development. S/he will work to ensure Primrose franchise owners and school staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills to be successful and that the overall training experience differentiates Primrose among the industry. Specific responsibilities include:
- Set the Learning & Development strategy and continuously refine training journeys, ensuring training is a highly-effective component of the Primrose franchise support model.
- Design and oversee innovative programs using blended learning, microlearning, and other modern modalities.
- Ensure all training content is accurate, up-to-date, and reflective of Primrose’s premium brand.
- Coordinate with School Consulting, Centers of Excellence, and other internal teams to translate training into field coaching routines and school‑facing guidance; ensure consistent messaging and handoffs.
- Align training priorities with enterprise goals and school performance metrics.
- Lead and develop a team of trainers and instructional designers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate high-impact sessions and coach colleagues in effective facilitation techniques.
- Implement scalable delivery models, including train-the-trainer certification and quality assurance.
- Establish content standards and manage lifecycle updates for relevance and compliance.
- Drive adoption of strategic initiatives across the system by partnering to determine and/or develop training sequences, resources/tools, and ongoing school support.
- Measure program effectiveness using KPIs, including participant feedback and business performance data.
- Manage resources and partnerships, including budgets, vendors, and technology platforms.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Degree in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Education, or related field. Graduate degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a relevant field, with a track record of managing robust training programs and high-performing teams. Experience in multi-unit or franchise systems a plus.
- A proven track record of creating high-quality, high-impact learning experiences to reach business goals.
- Deep knowledge of e-learning and experience with modern Learning Management Systems and course design software.
- Expert facilitation skills and ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
