WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Product Manager drives the scope of current and future tech products and programs, collaborating with internal and external partners to define business processes, gather requirements, document specifications, and manage project timelines. They act as an internal consultant, engaging customers as subject matter experts, and work with the Technology Product team to execute product strategy and roadmaps. They perform market, product, and user research, partnering with external software vendors and developers to deliver required solutions.
- Understand the organization’s Strategic Business Goals and Objectives; delivers products and services that support and enhance business outcomes.
- Understands the consumers/users of technology products and services; thoroughly documents the related business processes and logic
- Gathers, organizes, analyzes, and documents customer requirements; understands the marketplace and user pain points, translating these into viable product solutions that work for both the business and individual users.
- Utilizes project management skills to manage/ own the product implementation process; coordinates with key stakeholders throughout the implementation process.
- Continually measures ROI and product effectiveness through product performance and quality tracking to identify process or system improvements
- Prioritizes customer requests based on alignment to overall business strategy, ROI, and user need.
- Provides guidance on design of technical solutions and programs while balancing dependencies and integration with other products across the organization.
- Identifies and considers pros, cons, issues, obstacles, dependencies, and value associated with features and enhancements
- Works with the product team to continuously assess progress, disseminate lessons learned, and understand next steps
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering)
- 3-5 years related experience in developing solutions and managing projects
- Experience creating, prioritizing, and accepting user stories
- Displays a blend of business and technical acumen—understands both sides to effectively answer the “what”, “why”, and the “how
- Proven track record of delivering solutions and building/implementing enterprise software solutions
- Proven ability to create and manage documentation
- Proven ability to deliver results while respecting time and budget
- Displays strong project management and organizational skills; can oversee the entire project lifecycle
- Proven ability to collaborate and manage multiple priorities while balancing competing requests/projects
- Proven ability to communicate with and influence functional and technical team members at all levels within the organization
